Liechtenstein may be small, but there is so much to see. The mountains, for instance. Mittagsspitz, Alvier, Ochsenkopf – even we locals can’t name them all off the top of our heads. But we know how beautiful they are, and as our guest, you will experience it too – often just by glancing out the window. Yet the hotel is not only perfectly situated for alpine panoramas; the centres of Vaduz and Triesen are just minutes away. It is the ideal location whether your stay is for leisure or business. We are confident you will feel at home with us. Hotel Schatzmann combines professional hospitality with a personal touch. The founders come from a Liechtenstein hotelier family, and the house is now run by the second generation. We like to maintain a personal connection with our guests – which is why we don’t say «Grüezi», but «Hoi».
Hotel
Hotel Schatzmann was established in 1984 by Inge and Klaus Schatzmann. The name «Landgasthof» (country inn) was a rather modest choice, considering that Klaus Schatzmann’s kitchen earned a Gault & Millau distinction just five years later.
In 1995, the new wing and conservatory were built. The Michelin Guide inspectors seem to have enjoyed it – just one year later Klaus Schatzmann was awarded his first Michelin star. He held on to it until his retirement in 2015 – 20 years of gourmet dining from another star. Delicious!
Since the founders stepped back, their daughter Anja Schatzmann has been running the hotel. Hospitality was not only in her cradle but also taught at a renowned hotel management school.
Heiko Krüger has been successfully leading the restaurant at Hotel Schatzmann under the name «Vivid» for several years.
The hotel and Restaurant Vivid were recently featured on the «Liechtenstein Trail» and certified as a Bike Hotel.

Since 2018, gourmet-level cooking has returned to Hotel Schatzmann! Heiko Krüger runs «Vivid» here and earned 13 Gault & Millau points as early as 2019.
«Why roam far afield when the finest is so close at hand?» Regional produce combined with international expertise creates the vibrancy and delight served at Restaurant «Vivid».
Our restaurant is open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner. If you would like to secure a lovely table in the conservatory, we recommend making a reservation.

Whether in summer or winter, Liechtenstein is always worth a visit. Nature will impress you – from the banks of the Rhine to the mountain peaks. The mountain villages of Steg and Malbun look forward to your visit. Everywhere you will find hiking trails with breathtaking views across the Alpine landscape. In winter, over 20 kilometres of pistes await skiers and snowboarders. From our hotel, you can reach the particularly family-friendly winter sports resort of Malbun in about 20 minutes.
